Sime Girma Abiot was born in 1980 and raised in Bale zone, Southern Ethiopia. He received his diploma in Clinical Nursing from Addis Ababa University in 2002, Bsc in Public Health from Mekelle University in 2009, MPH in Epidemiology from Jimma University in 2012 and is currently a PhD fellow in Tropical and Infectious diseases at Jimma University.
