I was born on the 20th of January 1975. I became a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical college in the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in May 2015 having graduated from the University of Ibadan with a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery in 1998. I am a certified resource person for USAID:MAPS (Malaria Action Programme for States) in Oyo State. This involves facility based training of health care providers on the Case management of Malaria especially amongst the pregnant women and the under-five age group. I am an active member of the Medical Women Association of Nigeria, and participate in the monthly cervical screening and breast examination of women which takes place in different rural areas. I conduct a monthly interactive community health awareness programme in which I address women’s health problems. I have been a guest lecturer at different secondary and tertiary instituitions in Oyo state to educate the students on adolescent sexuality and sexually transmitted diseases. I have featured on television and radio programmes to educate the populace about health related issues.
At my place of work, I conduct a biweekly gynaecology clinic where I consult infertility cases and related issues, gynaecological tumours, adolescent and menopausal cases. A weekly theatre day is also observed where I operate on gynaecological cases such as myomectomy, hysterectomy and exploratory laparatomy. Obstetric cases such as cervical cerclage and caesarean delivery are done whenever the need arises. I also consult antenatal clients on a daily basis.
