I am a nurse by profession, rising through the educational ladder from State Registered Nursing (SRN) through Midwifery to Public Health Nursing (PHN) and currently I hold a BSc. in Public Health. I obtained my certificate in general nursing from the Jirapa Nursing and Midwifery Training school in 1993, Certificate in Midwifery from the Komfo Anokye Nursing and Midwifery Training School, Kumasi and Diploma in Public Health Nursing from the Korle-Bu Public Health Nursing Training School. I graduated from the Catholic University college of Ghana – Fiapre with BSc. in Public Health and Allied Sciences in 2015. I also acquired a certificate in Health Administration and Management (HAM) in Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in 2009.
I have held leadership positions in various capacities and currently I head the Institutional Public Health Unit of the West Gonja Hospital; as part of my duties I ran Antenatal care services, Child welfare services, disease surveillance, daily records review, outbreak investigations, collecting and analyzing data regarding communicable and non communicable diseases etc.
I speak English and Dagaare fluently.
