Janet Lubingu was born on 1st December, 1961. I did my Registered Nursing at Mufulira School of Nursing in Zambia and obtained a Diploma in Nursing in 1984. I later obtained a Midwifery certificate in 1993 from Mufulira School of Midwifery. I obtained an online Bachelor’s degree in Public Health in 2013 from Atlantic International University in USA.

I am a Registered Nurse and Midwife and I have worked in Government with the Ministry of Health in Zambia and held a position of Health facility in-charge and Nursing Officer. I have also worked as a Reproductive Health Provider for Society for Family Health 9SFH), and as TB/HIV Coordinator for FHI360/TBCARE I, USAID funded projects in Zambia.

Currently I am working as Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/Counseling and Testing Technical Officer for Family Health International/Zambia Prevention Care and Treatment (FHI360/ZPCT), a USAID funded project in Zambia. I am responsible for the Maternal Child Health, Family Planning and HIV/AIDS activities i.e. (elimination of Mother to Child transmission of HIV using the Option B+ strategy) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health at the Provincial Level in Muchinga and Northern Provinces of Zambia. My work involves program implementation, technical assistance, mentorship, monitoring and evaluation of project activities, writing work plans, reports, conducting trainings and mobilizing communities.

I am a mother of two boys and one girl.
