Chinedu Onyedikachukwu Oraka, MBBS; is a medical doctor with burgeoning clinical and research experience in general practice, sexual and reproductive health and rights, HIV programming and Gender Based Violence. I am a team player with sound IT skills and passionate about research and public health practice.
Dr. Chinedu O. Oraka is currently with the FHI 360 Lagos Office as an Assistant Technical Officer in the Clinical Services Department (Prevention, Care & Treatment/Monitoring & Evaluation). In this capacity, he has been able to acquire Monitoring & Evaluation skills (entering and validating data especially in the ART and PMTCT registers and inputting data into the DHIS; folder auditing as well) in addition to his primary assignment of providing technical and programmatic support to implement high quality L.G.A. level (both at health facility and Community level in Lagos Island LGA) HIV/AIDS, PMTCT, RH/HIV, TB, HCT and other services at the state level. Dr. Oraka was directly responsible for providing technical, programmatic and laboratory support to implement high quality care and support activities in comprehensive, PHC and PMTCT/EID sites i.e. with the Massey Street Children Hospital (MSCH), General Hospital Lagos (GHL), Island Maternity, Onikan PHC and General Hospital Apapa (GH Apapa).
He was also involved in the recently concluded USAID’s Strengthening Integrated Delivery of HIV/AIDS Services’ (SIDHAS) Community Antiretroviral Therapy (c-ART) project and the newly rolled out c-ART Plus as lead backstop for the Apapa LGA. Also a key member of the recruitment team for volunteers for the c-ART Plus across the priority LGAs (Agege, Apapa, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, and Surulere) in Lagos State, Nigeria.
At the moment, he serves as the Chairman of the Procurement Committee of the Lagos office of the FHI 360, a position where he presides over the advertisement, opening, review and analysis of bids and award of contracts.
