Mr.Betigel Workalemahu Habtewold was born on 27 December 1980 in Harar, Ethiopia. He graduated from Debub University, Dilla College of Health Sciences, Ethiopia in 2002, with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health. He then received his Master’s in International Health from the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, University of Basel, Switzerland in 2011. He worked for EngenderHealth Ethiopia as Field Program Manager, based in Addis Ababa, from 2011 to 2015. He also worked for Plan International and Save the Children UK in Ethiopia under the capacity of Health Advisor and Senior Health and HIV/AIDS Projects Manager. Betigel has served in the Public Health Officers Association of Ethiopia as President and Advisory Council for two years. He also served as the President of the student council in Dilla College of Health Sciences.
