Born on 26.06.1970, at a small village called Atawame, Aujara District, Jahun Local Government Area of Jigawa State, Northern Nigeria. Attended the prestigious University of Maiduguri, Borno State, and graduated in 2003, with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. Had my postgraduate residency training at University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital in. Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and passed the West African College of Surgeons Part II examination in April 2015.
Currently, I am working as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, and Head, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Federal Medical Centre Nguru, Yobe State, Nigeria. I am heading the departmental training program for residents, and also heading the centre's Human Research Ethics Committee and the Laboratory Revolving Fund Committee. I am a certified trainer in Abortion Care, PMTCT, and Essential Newborn Care. I have attended many other trainings including Research Methodology, Qualitative Research and use of NVIVO Software, etc.
