Heran Abebe Tadesse holds her BA in Sociology and Social Anthropology and MA in Gender Studies from Addis Ababa University. She has been serving in different local and international NGOs for more than nine years as a development facilitator in rural areas, counselor for women who survived gender based violence and a youth program SRH coordinator who played key roles in expanding access to reproductive health information and service for youth. She has received certificate of appreciation from Federal Ministry of Health for her dedication and technical contribution for the development of the National Health Sector Gender Mainstreaming Manual that guides the consideration of gender issues at every level of health systems and service provision. Moreover she is certified trainer in abortion values clarification, comprehensive response to gender based violence and Men As Partners® in SRH. Currently, Heran is serving Pathfinder International Ethiopia at the capacity of Senior Gender Advisor.
