Dr Cristalina Perpétua Mahumane was born on 16th July 1985 in Mozambique. She graduated from Faculty of Medicine at the University Eduardo Mondlane in Mozambique in 2012, with two years of experience in the clinical area and management of health services. She has worked as a general doctor from the primary care level to the quaternary level, as well as district doctor in the rural area. She has an extensive experience in the planning, implementation and monitoring of health programs in the area component of STI/HIV/AIDS, TB collaborative activities including TB/HIV, Maternal and Child Health program, including the screening of cervical cancer, prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV (PMTCT), family planning and violence based on gender ( May 2012- Sep 2014).

Currently she is doing master in international health and medicine for cooperation with developing countries in Parma, Italy, on focus to research of maternal and child health.
