Dr Abbott Samuel Luka was born on the 1st September 1978. He graduated from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Nigeria, in 2005 with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and obtained Masters Degree in Public Health (Field Epidemiology) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He has worked at the Maternity Unit of General Hospital Birnin Gwari, Kaduna state Nigeria (October 2008 – January 2011). Currently he is the Field Coordinator and State team Lead of National Stop Transmission of Polio (NSTOP) a CDC supported Programme in Jigawa State Nigeria, working to strengthen routine immunization in northern Nigeria.
