Dr. Muhammad Sharjeel was born more than three decades ago in Karachi, Pakistan. He obtained his bachelor degree (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) in 200 from the University of Karachi, Pakistan.

He has over seven years of public health experience with local and international non-governmental organizations. He is a registered medical professional in Pakistan. He has worked as a medical officer and registrar of psychiatry in non-profitable sector of Pakistan. He currently works with Aahung (a local NGO in Pakistan) as sexual and reproductive health manager where he is managing a large scale program on “institutionalization of sexual and reproductive health in medical & nursing education of Pakistan” and a project on “Post abortion care and unwanted pregnancies” in Pakistan.

Dr. Muhammad Sharjeel has special interest in sexual and reproductive health and has volunteered in several programs at school and university level for awareness of SRHR. He also trained community heath workers such as lady health visitors and mid wives on family planning from right based approach. He has good experience of conducting value clarification exercises on SRHR and capacity building of health care providers such as doctors and nurses.
