Pharmacist Mubarak Olowookere was born more than three decades ago in Lagos, Nigeria. He obtained his first degree (Bachelor of Pharmacy) in 2006 from the University of Jos, Nigeria and his postgraduate degree (Master of Public Health) from University of Liverpool, United Kingdom in 2014.

He has over seven years of public health experience with local and international non-governmental organizations. He has worked as a community pharmacist, hospital pharmacist and medical representative. He currently works with Family Health International (FHi360) under Strengthening Integrated Delivery of HIV/AIDs (SIDHAS) project as Assistant Technical Officer, Prevention Care and Treatment.

Pharmacist Mubarak has special interest in sexual and reproductive health and he was a volunteer as a Peer Education Trainer in adolescence sexual and reproductive health in secondary schools. He also trains youth corps members on sexual and reproductive health in orientation camp in an ongoing basis.
