She is interested in reproductive health issues. She worked with Dr Beshai (JHSPH), and Dale Huntington (WHO) on secondary analysis of data on “Estimating Economic Cost of Female Genital Mutilation”.

She moderated and facilitated several workshops funded by collaborative project with JHSPH "Building reproductive health capacity to serve people of Upper Egypt" on using self-evaluation, development of quality improvement project and using SPECTRUM modules.

She worked as central coordinator for training program for family physicians held in Qena Governorate. She participated in training and preparing the field work guidelines for “The National Adolescents’ Health Project” in collaboration with National Population Council, SRC at The American University in Cairo and High Institute of Public Health, Alexandria.

Currently she is working on Global Early adolescents Survey (GEAS) a multinational study in collaboration with Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and WHO. In the meantime, she is working on developing a proposal to conduct a survey of sexual and reproductive health needs of married adolescent girls in rural Upper Egypt, to be implemented by Assiut University in collaboration with Population Council.
