Born on 8th October 1978, Dr Josée Attiron/Zongo graduated from University of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso in 2007 with degree in medicine and degree in Gynaecology Obstetrics in 2011. She worked in two hospitals in Ouagadougou before relocating to Nigeria. She is currently consultant obstetrician gynaecologist in Lagos, Nigeria.

During her medical studies, she was an active member of an association supporting AIDS victims (AJPO: Association des Jeunes pour la Promotion des Orphelins/Youth Association for orphans support). Through this, she contributed to train several peer educators in reproductive health. As a counsellor, she also participated in anonymous HIV testing of many young people, and support of those affected or living with HIV, on behalf of the association.
